Belladonna Herpes 2010

MONTE Sampler of

is not the first time thanks to the weather, which has become increasingly reliable, we can "catch" a good day to go in the mountains.
choose the only window of good weather that pops up in a succession of days disrupted.

Decide the goal this time is not easy after snowfalls have occurred even at low altitude, it takes a beating and secure place.
Mauro proposes Pass Campelli, from funds, part of Schilpario, but I'm unconvinced, although I really like this area and that it considers suitable for hiking and snowshoeing.
The problem is the difference!
600 meters in altitude seems to me a few for those who want to train for a challenging climb that I, Mauro Graziella and we plan to accomplish by the end of December.

But in the end that's where we go!

leave the car in the parking lot of funds that are about 9:00 am and the thermometer indicates -8.
Snow, after all, is not bad and Mauro ski socks, but we expect to make snowshoes because the fund holds well.

along a path that is not never too steep, in a short time we reach the hut Cimalbosco, where the Rifugio Bagozza and soon after we leave the forest in a scenario that always leaves me open-mouthed: on one hand the snowy slopes of Gardena and samples, crossed by several skiers, and the other the amount of Cimon Bagozza rocky channel with the steep snowy uncut.

decided to proceed to the hut where Campelli heated by a warm sun, we stop to put on snowshoes, and then head back to the past, but suddenly the track of some hikers that precede us seems so inviting, we choose to follow it up to the summit of Sampler of arrrivare.

At this point the climb becomes steeper, but the number of zig-zag help mitigate the slope and reached the summit , we can just touch the cross and then descend to the valley, where the cold might be a little less pungent.

Meanwhile, the expected arrival and in bad weather seems threatening clouds hanging over mountain tops.
After a brief stop at the hut for lunch, we resume the way back, while a few flakes of snow begin to twirl in the air chilly, making the landscape even more "Nordic".

course Mauro with his skis slipping away fast and light on the snowy slopes, giving us at least a quarter of an hour of posting, but all we get satisfied with the car to be able to "token," that this day would also have been lost.

WEEKEND IN PRAGUE

This time we are in 7, all women, and our destination is Prague, a city that I visited, in haste, some twenty years ago, but I want to rediscover a slower pace and in greater depth.

We leave early Saturday, Oct. 23 at 8:30 am and we are already in Prague, where it waits for a taxi that will take us the hotel to deposit luggage.
We decide to spend the day exploring the Mala Strana, the "small area" and walk through a maze of alleys where time seems to stand still , we went to the Charles Bridge crowded with tourists, who cross to take the road that leads to the castle.

We come to the baroque Malostranské namesti square where stands the church of San Nicola and here we take Nerudova , flanked by eighteenth-century buildings still intact, they are on some coats of arms, which once accounted for the profession of the owner.

The castle is a sort of citadel walls which arise between the various buildings of great interest.

guests enter the root and enter the first courtyard where to buy tickets for the visit with its "expensive" audio guide, then we go back to the entrance where we witness the changing of the guard at this time is accompanied by the music of some "brass".

The first building we visit is the Gothic St. Vitus Cathedral, located in the third courtyard, and is the largest and most magnificent cathedral in Prague.

After the Cathedral we expect the visit to the Royal Palace with its immense Vladislava Hall, which dates back to 400 and where there is even games on horseback .

Eventually we enter the Basilica of St. George, one of the oldest buildings in Prague, whose appearance and style are often changed over the centuries .

visiting this large complex of buildings we take away almost all the day and it is already late afternoon when we reach the exit and we find ourselves on the walls for bird's-eye .

We are tired, and the four that we are awake and that is a lot of time tripping .....
But there are those who still have enough energy to visit the National Gallery and who like me, needs to sit down to sip something hot!
We gather together after an hour or so and left the castle to return to the Charles Bridge and walk along the river Kampa island, the perfect place to take a leisurely stroll before dinner. Legii reach the bridge, we travel to return to the long-Stare Mesto and the Vltava river that borders We can enjoy the beautiful night view of the Castle .

Let's go back to our hotel and then down the road we stopped for dinner at a restaurant certainly economic, but rather poor quality.

The next morning, already early in the morning we go to Wenceslas Square, which is located in New Town, and we cross the street Na Prikope, a pedestrian street lined with shops still closed, which leads to Namesti Republiki, near which rises the Powder Tower and Municipal House, one of the most significant Art Nouveau buildings in Prague.

Celetna We take off and reach the magnificent Old Town Square, overlooked by some historic buildings behind which stands the Church of Santa Maria di Tyn, a beautiful example of Gothic architecture, whose spire dominates the entire square and looks like something out of a Disney fairy tale.

Shortly before 10:00 we face the astronomical clock tower and watch the animated show that accompanies every hour: the Death, represented by a skeleton, a bell sounds and a reversed clesssidra and the statues around it, shake their heads by refusing his invitation. Now open two small windows at the top, there are the statues of the twelve apostles at the end of the procession and a rooster crows and a trumpet player in the flesh Chud representation.

After a thorough tour of the Piazza reach the Jewish quarter and we put ourselves in line to enter the famous "graveyard" that guide the hand, visited along a fixed course.

leaving the cemetery we visited the Hall of Ceremonies and the museum is now taken by the pangs of hunger are looking for a restaurant, even a pizzeria, where consuumare a "bite" and relax a while. Our choice falls on a place where we can enjoy a good Italian pizza and then back again in the district Hebrew where we enter the Old-New Synagogue, the oldest European synagogue but is still the main place of worship in the community of Prague.
last half of the day is the Monastery of St. Agnes, the oldest Gothic building in the entire Czech Republic, founded in 1200 by St. Agnes of Bohemia, sister of King Wenceslas I, who was the first Superior.

After dinner spend the evening wandering around squares and streets of Old Town, and dive into the crowd of tourists and enjoying the atmosphere of "magic" and suggestive of this city.
