During the day the heat is unbearable and people moving from one hotel to another without ever leaving the road, but at night the city lights and the Strip, the main avenue running through it, comes to life and soul. Each hotel has a casino and at the same time an amusement park theme.

The journey is fast and when we go back to Manhattan on foot to the World Trade Center. We try to imagine what could have happened in those hours and the thought makes us shudder. ...
But life goes on and is shown by the frantic work of reconstruction that make this area an open-air workshop. the top we stop to watch the sunset and the lights that light up gradually throughout the city.

Wake up at 7:30 and after a hearty breakfast we continue the metro to go to Brooklyn. We went down near the bridge, and homonym walk the walk under the scorching sun, admiring from a distance the skyline of New York and trying to recognize the names of the buildings that rise before us.
do a quick tour of Dumbo area, where we stop for lunch, as always made salad, and then resume their journey home. Usual stop at the hotel and later visit to Central Park, which is very close and then we can reach on foot. Central Park is huge and you can not turn it on foot in half a day, then take some of his tracks and reach Strawberry Field, the garden dedicated to the memory of John Lennon and near which there is a small lake.
After dinner we decided to make a last lap in Times Square at night and full of beautiful people, seems to be the center of the world!
New York, though not without flaws, is truly a beautiful city, colorful, lively, charming and ruthless.
unlike any other city I've ever seen, and beyond all expectations.

Times Square is the heart of Manhattan and is characterized by megacartelloni advertising that light at sunset. I almost find it hard to move on the sidewalks crowded with people of every race and color.

But New York has welcomed us in a hot and muggy afternoon, materializing in the shape of a Pakistani taxi driver who welcomes us and leads us to our hotel, on the 57th, the Salisbury, where she finally found a bit 'of AFA and cool the heat oppressive.
The hotel, despite being a bit 'dated, is extremely clean and our room very comfortable. But the lure of Manhattan is strong and now we go down the road heading towards Times Square. We are struck by the amount of skyscrapers, skyscrapers and when I say I do not mean some buildings like our Pirellone but slender buildings that rise upward in a continual challenge to verticality, making us constantly to walk with their noses to ' upward, surprised and amazed.

By subway we go to Harlem to watch the mass gospel in a Baptist Church on 145th Street. We are warmly welcomed by Laura, a young Argentine with whom I had been in contact via e-mail before you leave. Laura tells us about the program at the appointed hour of the morning and invites us to enter. The ceremony, including sermons and songs, is deeply felt and "experienced" by the faithful and is an experience that is worth living, but from my point of view is not to be missed, perhaps because The gospel choir is not exactly what I expected.
