MONUMENT VALLEY GRAND CANYON LAS VEGAS

July 28, 2010
During the day the heat is unbearable and people moving from one hotel to another without ever leaving the road, but at night the city lights and the Strip, the main avenue running through it, comes to life and soul. Each hotel has a casino and at the same time an amusement park theme.
There is the Excalibur, Venetian, New York, Paris ... ... ..

and Luxor, where we are staying in 4400 one of the rooms inside the pyramid, which is the breeding-size covered with smoked glass, the pyramid of Cheops. The elevators that reach the various levels rise with a slope angle of 39 °

the Luxor
The heat is suffocating in Las Vegas, especially in the daytime, but at night no joke! Even so we, like everyone else, in the late evening walk along the Strip to sit and observe the mega-hotels in a blaze of lights and colors. At midnight, tired of walking, take a taxi and let us return to the Luxor.

One night in Las Vegas is more than enough and after we tried her luck on the slot-machines with a paltry $ 5 bet, of course, bankruptcy, let's pick up the car that will lead us along the streets of the Wild West.
After hurried up the various formalities we are faced with a Chevrolet Malibu Gold, but alas ... .. we can not find a way to open the trunk that does not even lock. We ask for help and discover that you just push a button on the door or on the remote!
then I put myself behind the wheel and after a moment of uncertainty due to the automatic transmission hold of me driving and take the road towards the Grand Canyon is' a long stage of transfer of grand views that already anticipate that we will see in next few days. At first a semi-desert dotted with giant cacti from which, at some point, there appears a coyote crossing the road, then getting up to share through dense pine forests that vaguely resemble our environments.

The sky is gray and a few drops of rain with us for giving us a few kilometers, at sunset, spectacular views, complete with a rainbow!

Pusooy (pusooy . Net)

July 26, 2010
This morning we get on the subway to the southern tip of Manhattan and take the free ferry to Staten Island, just to see the Statue of Liberty, one of the most famous icons the world.

Lower Manhattan by ferry

The journey is fast and when we go back to Manhattan on foot to the World Trade Center. A short, silent pause in front of this place is the least tribute we can make to all those who have been affected by this terrible tragedy. We try to imagine what could have happened in those hours and the thought makes us shudder. ...

then proceed to Chinatown and when we get the heat, the confusion and tiredness for our endless journey, we make the decision to desist from further visit to this colorful and chaotic neighborhood.
Back to the hotel and then at 18:00 we are ready to leave again to go on Top of the Rock, a viewing platform outside the 70th floor of Rockefeller Center.

Exciting is the elevator up to the fast and spectacular is the view enjoyed from the top and 360 ° across New York.

the top we stop to watch the sunset and the lights that light up gradually throughout the city.
Graziella almost do not believe in what you are seeing and experiencing and expressing his enthusiasm continually repeating "I do not seem true that all this is happening, I'm just watching a movie!"

Wake up at 7:30 and after a hearty breakfast we continue the metro to go to Brooklyn. We went down near the bridge, and homonym walk the walk under the scorching sun, admiring from a distance the skyline of New York and trying to recognize the names of the buildings that rise before us.

A Brooklyn

do a quick tour of Dumbo area, where we stop for lunch, as always made salad, and then resume their journey home. Usual stop at the hotel and later visit to Central Park, which is very close and then we can reach on foot. Central Park is huge and you can not turn it on foot in half a day, then take some of his tracks and reach Strawberry Field, the garden dedicated to the memory of John Lennon and near which there is a small lake.

We have dinner at an Italian restaurant: there are those who ordered the pizza, some pasta and meat but whoever , but they all eat well. Also this time I changed my mind!

After dinner we decided to make a last lap in Times Square at night and full of beautiful people, seems to be the center of the world!

New York, though not without flaws, is truly a beautiful city, colorful, lively, charming and ruthless.
unlike any other city I've ever seen, and beyond all expectations.
People are very helpful and many times during our wandering, struggling with guides and maps, we happened to hear us ask if we needed help or directions. It is with this beautiful impression that we leave tomorrow, flying to Las Vegas ....

How To Connect Navigation To The Ps3

NEW YORK NEW YORK 1 2

July 24, 2010
Here we are, finally in New York, after an interminable journey of long lines and tedious flight hours of sleep and exhaustion, of talk and silence ...

But New York has welcomed us in a hot and muggy afternoon, materializing in the shape of a Pakistani taxi driver who welcomes us and leads us to our hotel, on the 57th, the Salisbury, where she finally found a bit 'of AFA and cool the heat oppressive.

The hotel, despite being a bit 'dated, is extremely clean and our room very comfortable. But the lure of Manhattan is strong and now we go down the road heading towards Times Square. We are struck by the amount of skyscrapers, skyscrapers and when I say I do not mean some buildings like our Pirellone but slender buildings that rise upward in a continual challenge to verticality, making us constantly to walk with their noses to ' upward, surprised and amazed.

Skyscrapers in front of our hotel
Top of the Rock

Times Square is the heart of Manhattan and is characterized by megacartelloni advertising that light at sunset. I almost find it hard to move on the sidewalks crowded with people of every race and color.

exhausted from jet lag we have dinner in a local restaurant, just to pull late and get used to new rhythms and 10:00 do not almost time to put her head on the pillow that we fall into a deep sleep.

July 25, 2010
We wake reclaimed from the long night's sleep and experience, with the help of some Italians, the Metro NY that, after all, is quite simple to use, sufficient to take into account the direction in which you are going, UPTOWN or DOWNTOWN. The only question is whether you're taking the train is local, that makes all the stops, or stops EXPRESS and then only in some stations.
By subway we go to Harlem to watch the mass gospel in a Baptist Church on 145th Street. We are warmly welcomed by Laura, a young Argentine with whom I had been in contact via e-mail before you leave. Laura tells us about the program at the appointed hour of the morning and invites us to enter. The ceremony, including sermons and songs, is deeply felt and "experienced" by the faithful and is an experience that is worth living, but from my point of view is not to be missed, perhaps because The gospel choir is not exactly what I expected. Meanwhile, the dark sky over New York and in the afternoon it starts to rain, forcing us to change our program.

The idea was to visit Central Park, but instead we decide to go Fifth, where are also the Rockefeller Center and St. Patrick's Cathedral. When we leave at 5 o'clock in the afternoon, the rain stops, but at least the heat is not so stuffy. And 'Sunday and the streets are crowded with both tourists and New Yorkers from taking advantage of the weekend to do some' shopping.

Fifth look down on many shops, but our eyes instead of facing the ground are constantly pointed at the sky and wonder how to build buildings so bold, amazed to see how their vision can change depending on your perspective where you look. The change of zone, but has not been absorbed and had supper at our hotel we aim to plunge into the welcoming arms of Morpheus!
