Municipalities of Valle

Vincent Cimelli

During the last election campaign during a rally the aspiring mayor said more or not these words: "In my list, composed of all the villages." And nobody said anything, in fact they were all happy, because this is a common format by a set of fractions. Colledara is perhaps the clearest example of this dynamic, there are even fractions divided as Ornano Ornano Small and Large. What

that made me smile the most is that while my neighbors voted for the representative of its population, half of Europe, including ourselves, electing its Parliament municipality. The wastes are unacceptable in times of plenty, but when I look skinny like today even more unacceptable.

The Sicilian Valley consists of five municipalities which together do not reach the 15,000 population, minimum population for which the existence of a common sense takes a financial review. In the Valley there are then five mayors, five deputy mayors, five offices registers, five technical, five short of everything, even the meager five municipal coffers.

Why? I know

is a question maybe crazy, but that no one even gave me an answer, or rather no logical or sensible response. Having a single municipality would not only save thousands of euro per year but also have better services with a bureaucracy faster, have a single development plan involving the energies of our eco-friendly crafts, joint planning for our roads more like rally drivers to routes that way suitable for normal cars.

certainly would not have seen inclisi common in the famous 'crater' of Bertolaso \u200b\u200bat the expense of others, perhaps in the worst conditions, which are not included in that list.

course the administration must be clear and crystalline order not to allow partisan favoritism always unwelcome. The civic lists (talk about parties in fact as we have less sense than the five municipalities that comprise it) should not represent the whole territory, but its best expression.

But at this point I ask our local politicians are willing to step aside to promote the common good? Given how our government works, put them in their choices by personal favoritism, are pessimistic.
